3. How Plastic Injection Molding Works?
Plastic injection molding is by far the most common way to produce large volumes of finished plastic parts for every kind of commercial and industrial use. Molten resin is injected under high pressure into the cavity of a metal die and then rapidly cooled, forming a solid shape. A single cycle to make a finished part may take anywhere from a few seconds to minutes depending on part complexity and size. Plastic injection molding machines consist of three main parts: the mold, the injection unit and the clamping unit.

1) Get a quote
Plastic injection molding is a widely used in manufacturing method, where high-temperature, melted plastic resin (the “shot”) is forced into a mold cavity. At where, it will be left to cool and take the shape of the mold, producing the desired part. Once the plastic resin in the mold cool down, the part will be released, and the process starts again. Plastic injection molding machines consist of three main parts: the mold, the injection unit and the clamping unit.
